Christina + William’s Romantic, Floral-Filled Greenacres Wedding

Christina + William were married on a beautiful summer day at Cincinnati’s Greenacres Art Center in Indian Hill. The floral filled reception was stunning with a palette of sage and a variety of greenery with lots of white, blush, and pops of coral. This lush color palette and floral forward motif lent itself to the stationery perfectly! The main invitation and reception card feature a romantic script in rose gold foil with other detail cards backed in a deep sage green with pale blush and white florals accenting the corners. Off white envelopes were lined in sage green with a garden rose motif bringing the ensemble together. The traditional double envelope was used and both were hand addressed in gold calligraphy.

Why double envelopes?

The use of two envelopes is a tradition that probably goes back to when invitations where delivered by hand. For politeness the envelopes were left unsealed. Later, when mail services, began, the unsealed envelopes were inserted into larger ones that could be sealed. A practical reason for using two envelopes today is that the names of family members, escorts of your invited guests and children can be listed on the inner envelope.
