Lindsey + Mike's Hyde Park Country Club Wedding Celebration
A romantic, classic black and white, and elegant wedding celebration with reception at Cincinnati’s Hyde Park Country Club. Lindsey wanted lots of candles and a romantic setting which was brought to life with gorgeous floral table runners, chandeliers, gold chiavari chairs, and airy arrangements. The day was captured by Everleigh Photography.
How did you and Mike meet?
We officially met on a bus to Keeneland 6 years ago, but it wasn't until 2016 when we actually decided to go on a date.
How were your personal styles reflected in your wedding day?
Mike left all the planning to me so almost everything you see was my vision- simple, yet elegant. My inspiration was loosely based off of Beauty and the Beast. I envisioned massive candelabras and lots and lots of candles. The room/mood was very romantic. He did contribute to one thing- A Cigar Bar. It was a real hit.
Best thing about being married?
Calling him my husband- I love saying it. It's such a wonderful feeling knowing you have a friend, partner and confidant by your side for life.
Describe your wedding day. Is there a particular moment that remains in your memory most vividly?
The day was a whirlwind but seeing each other for the first time was so special. I will never forget that.
How did you decide on Hyde Park Country Club as your venue? Why was it the perfect choice?
We decided to have our wedding at Hyde Park Country Club because my husband has a been a member there for several years. He loves to play golf and participate in other social activities. It's a place we frequent often. We go for there for dinner and to hang out with friends and family. We spend most of our time at the pool during the summer months. The staff at the club feel like family. They are people we see often and who know us well so it only made sense to have it at place where we feel at home.
What were your favorite details?
Oh gosh! Honestly it's so hard to pick just one thing. Everything I envisioned came into fruition and my vendors did not disappoint! I honestly can't say what was my favorite part, but I will say that Second Wind kept the dance floor packed all night long!
Best advice you received on wedding planning?
I would say the best advice I received regarding the day, was to take every moment in and enjoy it. I cannot believe how quickly the day went by! As for wedding planning, I planned everything myself but couldn't have gotten through the day without the help of my day-of-planner and event coordinator at Hyde Park Country Club.
Where did you honeymoon?
We spent 2 weeks traveling throughout Italy and England- Rome, Positano, Amalfi and London. It was a dream.
