Love Can’t Wait! An Intimate Celebration at Ballenger Farm

Ahori + Kevin were married in an intimate ceremony on the grounds of The Ballenger Farm in northern Virginia. Many couples who felt “love can’t wait” opted to pull out all the stops for their small gatherings, not compromising on details. Luxurious floral arrangements in a breathtaking mix of white roses, scabiosa, astilbe, ranunculus, pops of tangerine, and greenery flanked the ceremony and aisle and would later dress the reception table where Kevin + Ahori toasted the start of their new life together. A team of incredible wedding professionals made this day a dream! Photography by Arli Quinn Photography.

The soft summer color palette of green, white, and tangerine was so much fun to work with and lent itself perfectly to the romantic details. The main invitation features a teal and sage watercolor border with leaf detail. A soft taupe block of color with modern fonts in white completes the piece. Calligrapher Write Liz Write created the beautiful ribbon tied placecards which worked seamlessly with the overall design.

A table was thoughtfully set on one of the patio areas with an ivy covered farmhouse wall to one side. The mixed stone of the old building added romance and created a beautiful visual. Wooden table and chiavari chairs were paired with gold candlesticks, white tapers, neutral linens, marble vessels, and dreamy florals. Each guest received a cloche with their name written in white calligraphy. Round watercolor welcome placecards in teal were placed under the cloches. We created a dynamic dinner menu that wrapped around the napkin that was a great way to break the ice for guests!
