Romantic Sunset Wedding at Romano Vineyard & Winery

the I Do

Avery at Ash to Oak Floristry created a stunning wedding ceremony backdrop using tufts of blush baby’s breath suspended from a gold geometric altar that framed rows of grapevine. The silk tied bouquet was all frilly layers of rose and ranunculus - the perfect complement to the bride’s lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and off the shoulder tulle. The groom was dapper in his bowtie and suspenders, handsome and relaxed.

the Stationery details

The main wedding invitation features original artwork from Linnea Head, a Cincinnati based artist. She drew inspiration from her favorite flowers to create a series of botanical illustrations used throughout the suite. Her sunflower was letterpressed in pink on thick white deckled edge paper. A rose was letterpressed in dark pink on cream deckled edge paper on the wedding details enclosure.

The rehearsal dinner invitation featured a foxglove letterpressed in a rich burgundy on warm gray deckle-edged paper. Everything was sent in an envelope lined with the artist’s drawing made into a pattern of white rose on a pink background.

Reception at sun set

The outdoor reception was all soft, romantic details that drew from a spectrum of pink, peach, and cream. Copper chargers, velvet napkins, bud vases in rose-colored glass, and pillar candles dressed the long dining table. As the sun set, the warm glow of candlelight reflected off the bright white linens and rosy plates creating a dreamy ambiance.

In a vineyard with your beloved, exchanging vows in early fall while the sun sets over tangled vines and the light lends everything an ethereal glow. This was the vibe at Romano Vineyard & Winery located in Prince George’s County, Maryland, a family farm founded in 2007 originally as a honeybee farm. A fabulous team of wedding professionals collaborated to create a dreamy, romantic celebration inspired by the colors of dusk. Photography By Devvy Photography.
