Shelby Jo + Kaleb’s Spring Wedding at Hyde Park Country Club

Tell us about your wedding day. It was the best day ever. The room we had the ceremony and reception in felt dreamy, covered in beautiful flowers. It truly made me feel like my vision came to life, and it was even better than expected!

What do you wish you had known before you started wedding planning? I wish I had known not to worry about the small details because you really remember the big things like being surrounded by loved ones.

Shelby Jo + Kaleb were married on a spring day at Cincinnati’s Hyde Park Country Club in a floral filled ceremony. Shelby Jo envisioned a day filled with soft, spring pinks and whites with accents of champagne. Elegant, pastel watercolor florals and the entwined first letters of their name were printed in champagne across the top of main invite and the seating chart. A border of watercolor florals filled the edges of the RSVP and detail card. Invitations were sent out tucked into envelopes with deep blush liners. Transparency Photography captured the day perfectly.

How did you and Kaleb meet? We met through a mutual friend, we were at a bar at the same time and I complimented Kaleb's curls, and the rest is history!

Tell us about the proposal. We were on a sailing trip in the British Virgin Islands. We had just gotten to one of the coolest islands that required almost a full day's sailing trip. We went to explore the island and Kaleb asked me to go on a walk on the beach, and then he proposed.

Best wedding moment? Oh goodness it's hard to pick just one. I loved being surrounded by all of our loved ones the entire day, from getting ready with my mom and bridesmaids to the dance floor.

Did you incorporate any new or old traditions into your celebration? We said our own vows, which I loved!

What’s your wedding style? Our wedding was meant to be elegant but simple, with pops of spring colors with light pinks, and champagnes, and gold.

What was your vision for your wedding invitations? My vision was to bring this "elegant but simple" with spring colors vision into the invitations, and make guests excited when they received them with the spring colors!
