OUR PROCESS

+ INTRODUCTION: FIRST, LET’S CHAT

…just a quick fifteen minutes. I want to find out more about you and your event, and I know you want to find out about my process and services. Hearing someone describe their wedding is so much more informative and exciting than seeing it in an email, and likewise, knowing that I’m a real person, who loves what I do and can answer some of your questions upfront will make for a nice introduction.

+ CONSULTATION: THEN, LET'S MEET!

I like to set aside about two hours for an in-studio meeting if you are local, or a video call, whatever is most convenient for you. This is where the magic happens. We’ll look at things that have inspired your vision – colors, textures, florals, fashion – what do you imagine your big day will look like? Then we will figure out together how that can translate this through design and onto paper. We will figure out where your priorities lie as far as the quality of the materials and the unique traits of the various print processes.

What will the fonts look like and how will the colors work together? I will guide you on etiquette, tradition and wording, and offer assistance with packaging, assembly, addressing and delivery. This is also your chance to troubleshoot any logistical questions you may have – we can offer solutions managing guest lists, and production timelines, and creating a seamless transition from pre-wedding items to wedding day details.

+ OUR PROPOSAL: PLEASE SAY "I DO!"

Taking all of your input and selections we will send you a written quote and proposal, with options for ways to embellish and enhance your invitation ensemble that we had discussed in our meeting. Included will be services such as addressing, calligraphy, fulfillment and mailing. This quote will also include a detailed timeline to keep everyone on track as far as production and delivery dates.

+ PROPOSAL ACCEPTED: YOU SAID "I DO"... AGAIN!

Once you accept our proposal we will take a 50% deposit to begin work designing and submitting your initial proof. This is the beginning of a collaborative process. We welcome and include your input and suggestions. Not only will this allow you to consider graphics, and shapes and patterns and colors, but to also focus on details such as spelling and content.

+ GO TO PRINT: IT'S ABOUT TO GET REAL!

Okay, the design is perfect and the details are confirmed! When you are ready to go to print, we finalize all of your options, secure the balance and approve this masterpiece for production! Voilà, four to six weeks later they are ready to be received by all of your family and friends!

+ BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE...

You have now shared your vision with all of your guests and they are anticipating a beautifully executed “Big Day!” Complete your design sensibilities from beginning to end. We welcome the opportunity to create wedding day items such as programs, menus, signage, place and escort cards and encourage collaboration between us and your other vendors to create custom linens, lighting projections, favors, confections – you name it, we will help design it.
