Emily + Michael’s Classic, Old Hollywood Glamour Inspired Wedding

Emily + Michael celebrated their winter wedding with a subtle nod to the holiday season and a focus on the elegance of the Hall of Mirrors. Wedding day photography courtesy of Leppert Photography.

How would you describe the style/vibe of your wedding?

We were looking for a classic wedding style inspired by old Hollywood glamour and elegance.

Tell us about your wedding stationery vision.

We wanted our stationery to reflect the elegance of the Hall of mirrors including lots of gold detail, classic layouts however with added flair including art deco elements to incorporate the old hollywood style and make it our own. Additionally, we wanted subtle incorporation of the holiday season being that our wedding was a week before christmas which included bits of green and burgundy in our stationery/table choices.

Take us back through your wedding day.

The most special part of our day was seeing everything we envisioned come to life after the whole planning process and having all of our family and closest friends in one place to share it with us and celebrate such a special occasion was by far the most meaningful aspect of the weekend.

Why was your venue perfect for your celebration?

The Hall of Mirrors is a timeless and historical landmark in the city of Cincinnati that is so beautiful on its own without any additional decor. It embodied the classic and glamorous look we were hoping to have in a venue and all of its features and details big and small are absolutely stunning - the minute we walked in we knew it was the one for us.

We are so grateful to our vendors for bringing everything we envisioned for our day to life!

What elements/traditions did you incorporate to make it unique to your love story?

We included a generation/heritage table to feature all our beloved family members including parents and grandparents either present or who have passed who have served as wonderful role models in our lives over the years and who are amazing representations of love and successful relationships.

A new, less often seen tradition we included in our wedding were kissing bells and we placed one for each individual at their respective tables. The kissing bells are a modern representative of the traditional wedding bells which represent good fortune and luck to newlyweds and the bride and groom are to kiss everytime they hear the bells ring.
