Frequently Asked Questions
What else do you do besides the wedding invitations?
The invitations set the stage, but we love to create everything to coordinate – save the dates, programs, menus, signage, napkins, welcome gifts – we even collaborate with your other vendors to provide artwork for them to use on elements for your wedding such as lighting projections, cake toppers, aisle runners, embroidered linens, just to name a few.
How much does it cost?
Our custom projects start at $2500.
Do you do design invitations for events besides weddings?
If we are working with you on your invitations, we are happy to work on other events such as the rehearsal dinner, showers, brunches, so that they all work together seamlessly.
We welcome inquiries for other special events – Bar and Bat Mitzvah’s, Debutante Balls, special birthdays and anniversary parties, even baby announcements. Our priority is our wedding production, but if workload permits us to share out focus with another occasion, we are happy to do so.
Will you address my invitations? Will you mail them?
Absolutely. We welcome the opportunity to handle your entire wedding – design to delivery. In addition to printing the envelopes, we will help you with your guest list, proper etiquette, assembly, postage and safe and timely delivery to the good ol’ USPS!
How many extra invitations should I order?
We recommend at least 10% extra. Take into consideration last minute additions, replacing an item gone rogue in the mail, an incorrect address, keepsakes, and also copies for your photographer, videographer and possibly wedding planner.
Can I design my own invitations for you to print?
Yes and No. If you have an element you would like to include – a watercolor a friend may have gifted you, or a monogram your mom created, or if you and your partner are artists/designers, we are happy to incorporate these elements into our process. In all cases we will review the artwork/files together to make sure that they will work with the materials and print you choose.
If you are looking strictly for someone to take your files and print them as is, it is best to go directly to the printer of your choice. We do not print items in-house therefore our creative process does not change.
Can you design the invitations and we print them ourselves?
No. We design specifically with the print processes and materials you have chosen and with our favorite printers in mind. Our focus is on quality and we feel we can best serve you if we can manage the design and production process cohesively from start to finish.
When should we meet to start the process?
It’s never too soon to begin conceptualizing the design of your stationery, but it is a good idea to have a wedding date, and your venues selected. It is also helpful to have a rough idea of how many guests you will be inviting.
Mail Save the dates 8-12 months before your wedding. Mail Invitations 2-3 months before your wedding. We request 4-6 weeks production time in most cases, but can accommodate tighter timelines if necessary.
We will guide you as far as timelines for your wedding day items and seating charts, place and escort cards.
