Greenacres Art Center Wedding Day with Antler Motif

Every wedding has it’s unique factors that drive the creative process, but the two most deciding factors are whether or not we get to work directly with the bride and groom, or if someone else is directing the process, whether it be the parents, or perhaps a wedding planner. Over time we have learned that the process goes smoothly if we know from the beginning, who is the most invested in the design and development of the overall “look” of the invitations and in turn, much of the wedding day items.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Wendy and David, (but wish I had - it looks like they throw a killer party!) Our contact was their extremely talented wedding planner, I Do Weddings and Events. I have had the pleasure of working with Brigid and Karen for many years, and they are extremely helpful when it comes to letting us know the expectations of their clients. In this particular instance, the couple put their trust in the vendors to create a beautiful, elegant, but outdoors-y comfortable and welcoming dinner party for their guests. Natural and organic were key - nothing too flashy, or bright, or young.

It was only after the wedding when I got to see the total vision, and in my opinion, I Do did a really bang up job of creating this environment and guiding all of the creative partners. Spectacular, over-the-top floral arrangements by the talented Courtenay Lamber Florals and Events, and Greenacres Art Center's approachable outdoor venue and the rustic and inviting farm tables blended the WOW factor with the kick-back-and-enjoy attitude of a fashion forward, pant-suit wearing bride and her handsome groom.

Paper Cohesion

Wendy + David’s wedding stationery featured a custom monogram with antler motif. The main invite was letterpressed with copper foil. The modern square format had plenty of white space for a clean look. Paired with deep rose envelope liner, calligraphy addressing, and hints of copper foil created a cohesive look for all the paper details. We also love the choice of custom stamp with wedding date!

Light & Airy

The gorgeous tented reception had an airy feel with suspended dried grasses and a spectrum of pink and red florals. Tables were set with neutral shimmery linens, textured florals and table numbers that repeated the clean font used in the invitation.
