Alright, you’re a reader! Sooo, weddings… this is where I found my joy. 

For me, every project is THE project. Think of it this way - we (you and I together) have one chance to shine! The wedding is THE THING. It’s personal, it’s exciting, it’s emotional, and it NEEDS to be the perfect combination of form and function. We’ll brainstorm and create together. We’ll dream up a way to show your closest family and friends just how special this wedding is to you, and how important it is to you that they be present to share this once-in-a-lifetime experience. We’ll make this experience distinct, and more importantly, distinctly you! 

"WOW, this sounds great,” you say? But I’m sure you want to know why I can confidently say I am qualified to guide you through this process. A little about my background...

My education was in graphic design, my former career was in corporate communications and entertainment, and my job included marrying those two worlds into print. I spent years running from press to press, reviewing artwork and getting up close and personal with the mighty machines that make magic on paper. I spent hours researching different materials, and what makes them look and feel the way they do, and what machines are capable of handling them whether it be engraving, letterpressing, foil-stamping or something more day-to-day like offset or digital printing.

All of this aforementioned technical mumbo-jumbo was my sweet spot. This was the fun part. BUT jumping from project to project for the same client who’s level of excitement hinged on the completion of whatever annual report would then lead into the next sales kit, or logo, or powerpoint presentation became boring for me. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the design aspect and the challenge of meeting their expectations, but the delivery never seemed that important to them. It was about completion rather than creativity.

Fortunately, I continue to find the world of print interesting and fun. I like that the technology is ever-changing, and there is always something new to print on, or package, or unwrap. It energizes me to think that the art of print and written correspondence, whether it be a simple personal note or a “Wow, I’ve never seen anything like this!” wedding invitation, is still valued and enjoyed by so many. I like that I get to work with and meet almost any interesting maker I can think of - calligraphers, watercolorists, letterpress artists, illustrators - all in an attempt to keep our portfolio fresh, and interesting and unique for each and every person who trusts me with their wedding. It’s really a fun process, and I hope we can share this same experience with you.

• I worked as a dancer on a cruise ship for 6 years. AND I was a back-up dancer for Charo.

• I have 60+ FIRST cousins. I am the oldest of 13 on my Mom’s side and the 6th youngest of too-many-to-count on my Dad’s side.

• I lived in Chicago for 4 years but think Chicago-style pizza is a ridiculous waste of carbs. Give me a thin crust any day!

• I have 2 photos on my desk. One of me and Jimmy Osmond. The other of me and Regis Philbin. I apologize if you do not know who these people are and if this is boring.

• I have run 7 half-marathons and 1 full-marathon. I am slow. I don’t enjoy training. BUT I cry with happy emotion at every starting line and every finish line and on race day, I can’t wait to run my next race.

• I have watched “The Office” from beginning to end 4 times. I am currently watching it for a 5th. I hope I do not have to update this factoid. I should really find another mindless sitcom to enjoy.
