Fall Wedding in Blue & Mauve at Cincinnati Art Museum
The Cincinnati Art Museum will always be one of our favorite places for celebrating new beginnings! Margaret + Alan’s fall wedding was all about the lush florals. Each piece of the stationery has a secret garden feel with tiny floral vines and foliage growing into and around the text. The color palette is romantic and unexpected with cornflower blue and smokey gray enclosures paired with rose gold calligraphy (by the amazing Haniya Calligraphy!), gold, mauve, and gray-white elements. Ellie, owner of The Budding Florist brought together a fabulous team of Cincinnati wedding professionals to create a dreamy, artful wedding installation that included a gorgeous floral ceremony arch for the outdoor vow exchange in the museum’s courtyard. Beautiful photography by Molly Ann Photo.
RSVP cards were also personalized with coordinating rose gold calligraphy. By moving forward with the initial printing of the RSVP and leaving the “reply by” space blank, this allowed for Margaret + Alan to have all their stationery printed while giving them a time buffer for making the decision of when guests needed to respond by.
Modern, earthy, and textural. Those are the words Lyndsay, owner at Icon Cake Cincinnati uses to describe the gorgeous tiered wedding cake she created for this celebration.
The translucent, peach sugar poppies seemed to grow from the base of the cake. The three-tiered soft white base scattered with tiny pale pink rosettes were the perfect compliment to the long stemmed poppies.

The main invitation features Margaret + Alan’s new last initial in dark cobalt blue on a lighter cornflower blue handmade paper with deckled edges. Floral vines grow across the letter drawing the eye down. Haniya Calligraphy personalized the invitations with guests names in rose gold calligraphy. This luxe detail is something more couples opting for intimate weddings with smaller guest lists are opting for to add more personal, thoughtful touches.
