Elegant, classic with a hint of flare! Alexa + Drew’s wedding celebration at the Hilton Netherland Plaza was rich in luxurious paper details. From the modern monogram that made an appearance on everything from the main invitation - a blind embossed beauty! - to the ceremony programs, aisle, and even the dance floor! Gold accents and gold calligraphy were just enough to give some shine to the classic black and white palette.

We had incredible food, great cocktails, a cozy atmosphere at my parents home, and did not stop laughing the entire night. We are so blessed with an incredible support system and everyone that we needed there was a very special part of our day.

All we really wanted was to make it fun! We were so thrilled to be getting married and beyond excited to be hosting our friends and family in Cincinnati. Our vows were my favorite part of the day. Jeff and I started our relationship by writing beautiful and promising words to each other, so it only made sense that we proclaimed our love to all of our friends and family by writing our hearts and souls into our vows. Our wedding was black tie and the mood was a vintage/contemporary Gatsby. I am a sparkle girl at heart so there were definitely elements of that throughout our whole wedding, including the invitations. I chose to have our wedding black tie because it was such a special occasion and to fit the Gatsby mood. Nothing is more fun then getting dressed up for a night of celebrating! I have a classic, edgy style but with our wedding I just wanted a sophisticated, romantic and beautiful evening with stunning flowers, chandeliers, candles and a good deal of sparkle. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

We love how Kara incorporated her interest in the architecture and history of a space into her choice of reception venue and played one of her grandmother's favorite songs which happens to be a Christmas song at the reception! The spontaneous stop at the blue house adds a touch of whimsy and a great memory to a day full of them
